During gameplay, as you capture and defend strategic points, ability points will be useable based upon the generals you have selected. Generals are a new concept, and you may choose up to three of them in your army customizer. These accolades will translate into tangible rewards for you to take advantage of.
As you progress in the game, you will earn new ranks, ribbons, and awards. New to the series is the army customizer, which is also a huge unlock system in and of itself. This is your level, and it increases as you complete virtually any match. Aside from the campaign and the Theatre of War, you may notice a large banner in the upper right corner of your screen. But as it stands, when it comes to Allies, the Soviets are still more powerful and Brits as a faction is rather weak tbh.Company of Heroes 2 is a game that focuses on progress.
So at the end of the day, the fact of the matter is, you can keep the Axis at bay, but for how long exactly? The Brits are a nice addition to the game as it breathes some fresh new air into this somewhat old game. You'll have to risk a few medium tanks to flank it. Because if you do decide to play offensively, the Brits does not have 1 heavy tank that can take on a German heavy. Brits shine when you play the game defensively, so you better hope you have a Soviet player on your side or else you're pretty much scr*wed. If there was any wermacht players, you'd be sure they'll whip out mortars and the emplacements become sitting ducks =( Once the enemy tanks start rolling in it's pretty much bye bye to these emplacements. True they can set up emplacements which are powerful, but Axis players are not that dumb. If there The Brits are a little weak to be honest.
The Brits are a little weak to be honest. Wait for steam sale unless relic adds more content to all existing forces. Would not pay more than $10 for this one race. I don't know if it's just me but the A.I for Brits is actually extremely good and setup emplacements strategically. The anti-tank emplacement can take out many light vehicles w/ one shot! Would have loved to have seen more content given to current races along with this nickel+dime piece but not everyone can be like cdproject red! Hopefully, with mods, it balances out with current roster. Any other tactic I tried using ended in a complete loss but just seeing that bofurs chew up infantry was worth it. The emplacements are the key to this faction (in my opinion). As of right now, it can't go head-to-head against OKW British are actually UP as you will see when you play them.
